This is a pastel drawing done from life of a man resting nude on a wooden beam. This work was drawn from life during my time in Italy on premium quality, caramel-coloured pastel paper.
The work was completed charcoal and white pastel. It was completed in one long session, capturing the gesture and feel of the moment and the pose. The work is unframed, but I have shown it here in a vintage style off-white ornate frame, which I think would complement it beautifully.
