This is a pastel drawing done from life of a young woman sleeping, reclined nude on a chair, immersed in white fabric. This work was drawn from life during my time in Italy on premium quality, chocolate brown pastel paper.
The work was completed using a limited palette of four colours and was completed in one session, so as to capture the gesture and feel of the subject as she slept peacefully in the chair. The work is unframed, but I have shown it here in a vintage style off-white ornate frame, which I think would complement the work beautifully.
